" Just like with most college experiences, you get what you put into it. The school itself is expensive (tuition, required on-campus housing and meal plan for the first 2 years, materials required for class)! There are many brilliant professor, but almost all will push you to or beyond your limits. It's difficult and stressful but full of opportunities. "

" The institute gets a decent amount of flack for it's social scene being fairly nerdy/geek oriented, but the actual social scene has a good diversity of people (especially because the true shut ins stay shut in), and really good academic programs. Without scholarship it is fairly difficult to pay tuition however, and along with that there is a very distinct racial white majority. While the academic staff is generally great and helpful, the higher ups of the administration are looked down upon greatly by the general student body for making decisions that are generally not well received, due to being perceived as greedy and irresponsible, especially considering the university's endowment. Overall, I'd say this college isn't for everyone, but for those who enjoy more niche and vibrant communities, it is a good place. Our slogan is, "Why not change the world?" "
