" This school is great for students who like smaller classes and opportunities to work one on one with teachers. There are a wide variety of class opportunities and subjects available. Also, there are a multitude of opportunities available for outreach and community programs. The campus also has easy access to New York City, which allows for even more work opportunities. "

" Overall Sarah Lawrence offers excellent professors and the opportunity to dive deep into your primary areas of interest. The biggest drawback for me was getting into my top choice courses each semester, which can be challenging with many of the course offerings because it is for the most part decided by lottery system and I experienced being drafted to secondary choices multiple times. " The school has a very specific set of people, very very liberal and lgbt+. If that’s your community then it’s a wonderful place and very accepting. The class sizes are small which allows for much better teacher student interaction. There are also bi-weekly meetings between teachers and students where you discuss your final project for the class. The food is alright and the social scene isn’t huge considering the fact that the school is fairly small. It’s in a great area and super close to NYC so that’s a huge plus. Overall If you’re looking for a more personal and unique approach to education then this is the school for you. "

" The education is really bar none—the teachers work with you one on one (except in lectures), you can really dive deep into your studies, and for each seminar, you individually explore a topic that you’re interested in. With that being said, this school has a strong (apparent) left lean, so I wouldn’t recommend it to conservatives.
A good number of students here are from Los Angeles or otherwise try to emulate the nature of someone from LA, so think about if you’re down with that. Super small campus, people tend to be shy but it’s not because we’re mean, it’s because we’re awkward and depressed. People are trying to combat that, though! As for parties, either you’re doing nothing or railing coke and waking up in a ditch. A lot of cigarette smoking, too. It’s like the 80s. "
