 " Great school, I had a lovely time attending. The art programs are wonderful. They are very limited on sports teams. The food is also wonderful. They have many options, no matter your diet. The dorms are nice and fitting for the school. The art programs are very competitive. "

 " I don’t recommend Purchase at all. The school does not care for its students and operates as a business rather than an institution of learning. Dorms are old and run down, in need of restoration. If you’re not an arts student, faculty couldn’t care less about you or your work. "

 " Unique place, strong sciences, and good social scene. However, boarding on campus is lackluster. My main complaint about Purchase is the rooming--freshmen and sophomores had it rough. The FOOD is my BIGGEST complaint however. Terrible food options on campus, get tiring, and are overall not that great. "

 " People don't typically think of SUNY Purchase as an institute that is reputable for its sciences. The education that I have received from Purchase College has been incredible. I am a pre-medical student, and the student-run EMS agency has provided me with incredible clinical experience. I have had the opportunity to work alongside multiple ivy-educated professors, and obtain advice about careers and my academic life from the fantastic faculty. All of my professors know my name, my goals, my interests, etc, and they have all been incredibly helpful in my education. I took the MCAT over the summer and scored a 513. I could not have done that without the help of my professors and the incredible teaching they offer. Purchase College offers a private school level education, close to NYC, for the close to the cost of a community college. "

 " Out of the SUNY schools, Purchase is one of the best. The campus is one of the progressive epicenters of the SUNY system, with the student body aware and emphasizing many intersectional social and economic issues in society, including racial inequalities, disability rights, environmental justice, women's rights, socioeconomic disparities, and a large LGBTQ+ student population.

Westchester County is a great area, and is roughly 45 minutes north via MetroNorth of Manhattan. Though some of the facilities could be updated, it's definitely better than most of the state schools. The "party scene" I'd give like a B/B-. Upperclassman usually just go to White Plains or NYC on the weekends.
