" Outstanding university! Gave a lot of supports to students. The academic staff and faculty are very impressive too! Will recommend this to anyone looking for degree beyond the undergraduate! Be prepared though since Albany is often very cold. The food around the area is pretty nice too! "

" Last semester was my first semester and it was during the Pandemic which is why a lot of these questions I don’t have the answers to yet. The food is great at SUNY Albany which is awesome because I have foods I can’t eat and there’s actually good food I’m able to eat! I am a dorm student my review will be based on this perspective. My dorm had a couple really great study rooms complete with white boards located in the basement. Starbucks has some good drinks for treating yourself. I haven’t actually seen the library yet. Parking is annoying because sometimes there just isn’t room. Something that does really bug me about the dorms at Albany is that you can’t bring your own microwave, you have to rent one from
an overpriced renting company. Instead of just a microwave you have to rent a micro fridge which is expensive. Overall so far I am enjoying my experience at Albany! "

" I would not trade the years I spent in Albany for anything in the world. There is not trouble find a social scene for anyone here. The campus is located near anything you could ever need. The staff was very helpful, of course this depends on your major and who your teacher is but my classes were rather small so the professors were always able to help out 1 on 1. The Campus facilities when I attended were being upgraded. It seems like there's always something new coming to the university which is exciting! I'm sure in 20 years I won't even recognize certain parts of it if I go back to visit. "

" Excellent school, excellent program, excellent faculty. My favorite part about this program was the faculty. So knowledgable, so caring, really invested in what they study and the students. Program has just the right amount of the educational psychology coursework and quantitative coursework. It really prepared me for my PhD program. Lots of opportunity to engage with faculty and extramural activities to further your studies. "

" I graduated class of 2015 and I am proud to be a Great Dane. The physical campus has gone through some changes since my time at UA so I'm sure it is prettier than I remember. The History program was very strong when I studied at UA. I'd recommend the school for anyone interested in a typical suburban college experience. "
