" I loved it here. I met plenty of good people throughout my college terms, supportive professors. They college actually made me want to become a teacher more. There were times where I felt like I didn't get the help I needed but overall I would recommend starting here. "

" The good professor I've had at BMCC have been AMAZING, and they have really made my experience at the school. As an international student, I found the support when signing up for classes and help regarding classes lacking, but the help from the International Student Service Office has been consistently good and has given me a sense of security. However, administratively on campus, I think things are more complicated than they need be. "

" Overall this school has a prioritization problem. They are bloated with extra programs, but I hardly get a chance to use them because the basics (advisement and academic classes) are stretched so thin. At one point I had an issue with a professor, so I brought it to the head of department, who was astoundingly egotistical and rude. My advisor advised I escalate the issue to higher admin, which I did, only for them to assign the very person the complaint was about to solve the problem, and of course they didn't, if anything it made things worse. No one ever followed up. That is one of many examples of the way you can expect to be treated at BMCC. Sometimes you get an incredible professor, but it's luck of the draw, just as often you'll have awful classes and professors, so you must be diligent with checking out Rate My Professor. Don't expect for advisors to care much about ultimate career goals and ensuring you are getting the right credits to transfer, so if you go you must be diligent and know what you need in advance. Facilities are pretty nice for the most part, I wish I had time to utilize them more. "
