" Excellent reputation and networking opportunities abound. Not the best for cost-conscious folks, but education quality lives up to the high ranking of the university. Excellent research opportunities. Remember: ask for what you want. You will not simply be offered opportunities. "

" My comments are coming as a double major in both Computer Science and English, and knowing about RIT, which is down the street. The academic staff, at least in the English department and Psychology, is pretty good. They grade a bit harshly in the case of English, but most professors know their stuff. However, it can be challenging to participate in classes because of the students' personalities (a lot of us are really awkward, which tends not to generate a lot of discussion). As for the computer science department, you're better off at RIT since UoR tends to just take coursework from other universities (like Carnegie Mellon) and expect you to complete the tasks without providing as much knowledge as the other schools. They also don't really give you as many opportunities for internships as other schools might (for example, their job fairs are pretty small) because they expect you to keep going on an academic track rather than a career-focused one.
The sports facilities are ok. We have a gym, a pool, a track, and an indoor track. However, it's not really that big compared to neighboring colleges, though the size is to be expected since the campus itself is quite small.
I don't really participate much in the social scene, but like with every other school, just choose your friends wisely. There are more than a handful of toxic people, which can make your life pretty draining on top of the workload-heavy courses. They have ok food (apparently, they're up there in terms of college food), but I would recommend getting off-campus or choose the cheapest housing and cheapest dining plan and making your food. Some of the campus facilities are nice and new, while others are a little old but still look quite nice. I knocked off a star since sometimes, elevators are broken for days at a time, which I know isn't great for some disabled people. Also, some of the dorm rooms don't have AC, which I know is a huge flag for some people. On the other hand, most of the rooms are quite spacious, though they are expensive. "

" I have really appreciated my academic achievements while attending Rochester Christian University. The students body is full of diverse students and the faculty is very supportive, welcoming and knowledgeable. As a student who is returning in my later years I’ve been pleased to see other students older them myself also enjoying learning and being involved in the pursuit of furthering themselves. "

" In my 3rd year of 5 (I am in the Take 5 Program), and overall, things have been great. This is very much a school where you get out of it what you put in. Professors have their doors open all of the time, and the TAs are very approachable from my experience. It is also pretty easy to get into research and TA positions as an undergrad as long as you push a little, ask nicely, and have the grades and drive to back it up. Compared to where I grew up, it is very diverse, but that isn't saying much (I am white and from northern New England). Regardless, the community feels quite healthy compared to what I have heard about other, similarly ranked colleges. The only downsides I have encountered so far have been the food choice recently, and the somewhat stagnant and slightly preppy atmosphere. "

" Good school. Unfortunately there was a lack of diversity in the school and therefore there was a constant uncomforted. The professors were very kind and willing to help. If there were any issues, you can go to TA's or professors in a heart beat. "
