" I will always love East Carolina, but after going to a different university, I can say the academic side of the college experience is way less extensive than the social side.It is a good place for most students to learn, if they are self-motivated. "

" Overall a great school the professors are nice and knowledgeable and help you when asked. The school itself is clean and well maintained i was a transfef student so i cant speak on the conditions of the dorms or dining halls. The parking like any other university sucks as its extremely expensive for parking and limited spaces they recently created a new parking deck 2 years ago but it still costs alot if you are looking to drive to campus most days however they have great public buses that can take you from any student apartment to campus. The only thing that I didnt like was the atmosphere, honestly it felt very cliquey at times and its a really small country town with not much to do so all the fun activities are only on campus so if you want alot to do outside of school I wouldnt recommend here. "

" ECU was fine college to attend for my degree. The staff at the School of Music were excellent at their jobs, cared for their students, and made sure to give the best experiences possible. The other classes I attended outside of the School of Music were the standard 100-300 member classes, and because of that, you were most certainly seen as a number more than anything else. The campus was well-kept, even with continuous construction on a building or road the entirety of my tenure there. ECU also had a wealth of resources at their students disposal. However, I will say that a focus needs to be on adding more options for their students in terms of safer activity options on campus, outside of the downtown, partying scene, and less focus on building more dorms and university-owned apartment buildings. Also, directing more funding towards the already established clubs and activities would help in fostering a better, safer, and more fun atmosphere versus forcing these clubs to raise their own money by way of financially struggling college students "

" East Carolina University is a very strong school and there are many opportunities for students. When I was there, the social scene was very lively, but also I felt that I was challenged and encouraged to grow academically. Highly Recommend! "
