" I'm currently a sophomore at Xavier, and I do love this school and their focus on social issues and topics. The school is very small which sometimes feels like I'm going to a large high school, and the on campus living is relatively nice. Each dorm has air conditioning and has a decent amount of space. Even though it's a Jesuit Catholic school, they do not force religion on others (I am not religious and have never felt pressured to practice their religion). As for the party scene, there isn't really much happening unless you're close to an upperclassman who has a house, go to bars, or if you go to UC on the weekends. Overall, I like Xavier and there's a lot of good people and wonderful helpful professors, but if you're looking for a party school then you might not like it here. "

" Very good professors and resources in general. Great environment, it's perfect whether you want a small intimate experience or a big party school. Xavier straddles the line perfectly. The biggest problem is the campus. It's very nice, but it has very little food option, basically nothing on campus or nearby open too late, and the area is famously unsafe. "

" I have enjoyed my experience as a student at Xavier University. As a working teacher, the university offered many flexible options and accommodations to allow working professionals to continue their education. I have taken classes in both off-site settings and online with adjunct and full time, on campus professors. I can’t complain about any of these experiences. "

" Xavier University is a medium size school but the community feels small and is close knit. Professors, faculty, and staff are all willing to help you achieve your goals and guide you in the right direction. There are ample work study/student worker opportunities if you need a job while attending. Xavier has also put in a lot of effort to renovate campus in the last several years, updating academic buildings, the recreation center, dining areas, and the student center. While the campus is secluded and surrounded by neighborhoods, it's easy to get off campus and explore Cincinnati. Cincinnati has so many great things to offer from amazing food to great nightlife. It's not too big of a city that you'll get lost or feel overwhelmed. "

" Disability office has been wonderful with accommodations. Most professors are accommodating and understanding of mental illness and other disability (schizophrenia and processing speed in my case.) Professors are understanding in general including if you have life disturbances that get in the way of work. Class sizes are small. Parking for commuters can be a bit irritating on basketball game and event days at the Cintas center. Lots of adult students are current or former military. As a Jesuit institution you get a dose of Catholicism, but for me, as a Jewish student, it didn't seem to be shoved down my throat. "
