 " RISD is great for interdisciplinary designers/artists - students get a lot of opportunities to explore different media and majors. Personally, getting the chance to take courses at Brown and use their facilities was really nice. Facilities are old, but are still equipped with essentials like lasercutters, 3D printers, metal/wood shops, etc.
One possible downside is that the workload can get very intense. A lot of students pull all-nighters on a regular basis and you will have to give up on your social life sometimes. You learn a lot from this process though, so I personally don’t mind this part as much, but I’ve seen some students struggle with it.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this school, and feel that I am learning a lot here. "

 " After covid, the food has gotten a little worse, but it is still way better than any other institutes food I have ever tried. The courses are limited in terms of interdisciplinary studies, but you can always take courses at Brown University right next to it and get the credits transferred! "

 " Lots of problematic faculty (racism, etc), accessibility issues throughout campus, and staff doesn't do much to actually support students. Problems brought up (esp those from students with disabilities) are never acted upon. So many Title IX cases are ignored "

 " Requires agency to get anything valuable from the school. While the school has decent resources, the careers sect of the institution is somewhat lacking. While attending this school, I highly recommend creating your own network for job hunting. "

 " Great school to go to! Just be ready with the heavy weather and dress accordingly! Art supplies can be expensive but the trick is to be connected with other students as a lot of materials just get passed down or sold for a reasonable price. "
