" Very beautiful campus, I love my classes and the people you meet on campus are a lot of fun to talk to. The campus is not too big so it only take about 10 minutes to walk from one side to the other, which helps save in terms of gas money. "

" A very affordable university with great, experienced professors. The majority of my professors worked in the field they taught. The University is investing in itself and growing very quickly. They just added a Medical program and have a reputation for teaching degrees and criminal justice. "

" Great small town college community. One can go here for the full university experience, or commute for the working student. Professors are professional and the students are friendly. Only down side are the advisors. You need to keep your own records because the advisors never stay the same and they will "lose" their suggestions for ya. "

" Amazing college experience! Love my SHSU! The grounds and surrounding area has changed for the better since my college days. Lots of eateries, places to shop, and places to hang out. I wished I had half of these amenities students have now when I completed undergrad. "

" Good school for a master's degree. They do need to give a bit more info on the thesis process before the student is knee deep into it. However, after much frustration, it was finally completed. They assumed that everyone knew what to do and that is not always the case. "
