" SMU has been great - graduating in May. Only downsides are high cost of living, and limited parking spaces for off-campus students. But the campus is beautiful, the business school has been solid, and I've had some awesome teachers. "

" SMU is definitely not a normal university. There is a lot of old-money, new-money and everything in between. It is definitely a "bubble" environment; that being said, there are amazing people here, challenging courses to take, an a m a z i n g social scene, and great environment if your are willing to get out of your comfort zone. The surrounding area is great as well; Dallas has so much to offer in terms of culture and food etc, so there is always something new to explore on the weekends. You must stay in the dorms for 2 years, [4 of which are practically new and very nice], the rest are "ok;" a dorm is a dorm. The last 2 you can move off or do whatever you please. They are renovating an already outrageously expensive business school and campus is getting new makeovers all the time; seriously, it is a beautiful campus, and if your are interested, there are beautiful people as well. The greek life scene is pretty popping, but you don't have to participate; it's there if you want it, and who cares if you don't. If you have an open mind and attitude, want to be challenged academically in a rigorous major, want to go to a beautiful school, meet great people, and have time to enjoy yourself too, SMU is for you. "

" Southern Methodist University is a small school in a very good location. It is in the heart of Dallas, so there are many job opportunities. Many business recruit directly on campus and most upperclassmen as well as most professors have industry connections. The core faculty is solid in most departments. Sometimes the adjuncts can be hit or miss, but they are rarely used to teach core classes. The campus is also really nice. It's super clean and the facilities on campus are well equipped. There are good libraries as well as good gyms. I like SMU. "

" SMU is great for anyone looking for a fun college experience in a big city. The campus is absolutely beautiful and isn't too large (you can walk across campus within 20 minutes or so). The business school is well-known and the alumni network creates many job opportunities after school. Greek life is a large part of the school and a great way to make friends, but not mandatory for a fun experience. "

" I study at SMU Guildhall and am constantly impressed by the facilities as well as the faculty. They work really hard to make sure that we, as students, can succeed. We also use a project-based learning curriculum. This way, when we're in front of interviewers for the industry, we can solidly point to the many projects we've worked on in terms of experiences and stories from our time here. "
