" Enjoyed my time at UT, my department was solid and campus resources were top-notch. I would recommend the Psych PhD program, lots of opportunities for research or TA positions. Big ticket for access to all sports at a pretty reasonable price was a great perk of being a student at UT. Hook 'em. "

" I love UT. I earned my Bachelors and Masters degree here. World class professors, awesome city, access to live music events and great art scene too. Parking is tough on campus, plan on riding your bike or taking the metro. Great restaurants all around town. Housing is expensive but doable. "

" I think UT is definitely a wonderful place to study and Austin is a great city to live in. There are frequent live music around the campus and lots of sports campain. But it is really hot in the summer. "

" UT Austin is pretty nice, i honestly don’t think i could see myself at any other school. if you’re a person of color i would really recommend you join orgs if you want friends who look like you. i’ve had more nice professors than bad ones, i think being in a pandemic really put things into perspective for a lot them so for the most part they’ve been very accommodating. UT is always having some kind of event on campus, and as of this year orientation will be back in person. so if you’re considering UT Austin, i would really take advantage of that. Also UT Austin has thing called FIGS (first year interest groups) where they group you with a bunch of freshman who have the college you’re in (engineering, natural sciences, etc) and give you an advisor and mentor to help you along in your first year (and really your sophomore year as well). my two best friends i met in my FIGS and we’re like sisters "

" I'm a transfer student here at UT, and although I feel I've missed a lot on the experience due to COVID, I've still been loving my time here! The biggest difference I've noticed here compared to my other university is the student body. I feel like I've met so many more people here who are just as passionate about learning as I am! The classes are rigorous but manageable, and I love the campus. Austin is also a really great city to explore!! Biggest negative would be a lack of communication and mismanagement during COVID times...packed football stadiums and no requirement to report positive COVID tests in classes! Very annoying AND irresponsible! "
