 " I appreciate how they attempt to be environmentally friendly, it definitely makes for a very clean and well managed campus. The core curriculum felt a bit too rudimentary and wasn't quite as stimulating as I would have hoped; but the department specific classes were always stimulating and enjoyable. Parking is probably the worst issue that the university has. The only real parking lot is all the way across campus. After parking, advising isn't necessarily always the greatest. It seems like the general academic advisors don't communicate very well with the department advisors, but they at least do well at being forgiving and flexible with students on an individual basis to ensure that everyone succeeds.  " Great university! Nice campus culture and quality professors and courses. In my two semesters here so far I've taken some really great classes and gotten a lot of opportunities I wouldn't have elsewhere. One of the best things about the linguistics master's program specifically is that you can be a GA/TA/RA while doing your master's, which isn't super common. "

 " I really enjoyed my time at UNT. The campus is beautiful and walkable, and the staff was friendly and very helpful. I loved the dining options, especially the vegan dining hall! Overall, I had a great experience and now I’ve returned as a graduate student. "

 " I honestly loved UNT coming from KU it is a completely different vibe. Everyone is very caring and supports one another and professors (at least in my department) really invest in students and want them to succeed. "
