" Solid school. It doesn't really excel at any one thing except maybe the diversity of the crowd. UT Arlington is one of the most diverse campuses in the country. You get to meet people from all walks of life. Overall, it offers a balanced experience if you are looking for a broad and varied campus environment. "

" Overall a great experience for a commuter. Felt engaged in student life as well as academic. Would recommend to others! Campus was always clean, most professors were helpful during office hours, and attendance wasn't mandatory for the most part. This made it super flexible for a commuter who might miss a few days, but still stay up-to-date on all coursework. "

" I went there over ten years ago, things were a bit different. I had a handful of professors that did not take their job seriously and you could tell. Advisors sucked, no real advice from them. I would recommend UTA, only depending on the major. "

" It's a pretty small campus with a great vibe. There are a bunch of cute outdoor spaces, a few really cool fountains. They're still updating a lot of the older facilities, but the new buildings and those that have already been updated are nice. Parking isn't free on campus but you can usually find a spot on a side street or in the church public parking lot. The Gym is newish, well-equipped, and it's included in tuition and fees. The quality of the classes at both the undergraduate and graduate levels is high, without it feeling like they're trying to "weed out the weak ones" like some other universities. The professors all know their stuff and want you to know it, too! The linguistics departments specifically is full of really nice, encouraging people who just want to see you succeed. "

" I like the campus and would definitely choose it again. If I had any advice for future students, it would be to make friends and get to know your professors. Most of the teachers I had were really nice and genuinely cared about all their students. "
