" I love the school because it is self paced and you get a mentor along with the help from your course instructor. You can also complete a degree in 12 months if you are really dedicated which can save you money in the long run. The school works really hard to meet your needs and tries to help you when there is a hardship. I would recommend this school to anyone. "

" I finished my degree at 19 years old out of high school during a pandemic. The online setting allowed me to work on classes from home and the acceleration process allowed me to finish in 16 months. Can’t recommend highly enough! "

" I recommend WGU to everyone I run into, whether they're high school students or adults looking to go back to school. While I'm of traditional college age, I've had to work full time throughout the duration of my academic career. WGU provides an excellent academic environment for students who are cost-conscious, self-motivated, and working while completing their courses. The school utilizes a competency based program as it understands that the majority of its students are adults with adult responsibilities, from jobs to managing households to caring for children and everything in between. I'm eternally grateful to have found an institution that doesn't mandate course meetings or homework or assignments. Additionally, the cost-effectiveness of WGU is a huge winning factor for me. Before finding WGU, I never would have believed a Bachelor's degree to be in my realm of options due to financial circumstances beyond my control. Now, I'm 21 years old, have been working in my field for 3 years, and will have earned my MBA by the end of the year. That's right: I graduated high school in 2018, community college with an associate's degree in 2019, undergrad at WGU in 2020, and will have completed grad school at WGU in 2021. That's with one six month break and one year-long break in between. WGU makes the seemingly impossible possible. WGU makes dreams come true, rather than merely contributing to the insurmountable mountains of student debt by nickel and dimeing its students like many other universities tend to do. Had I gone a "traditional" route, I would be a senior in undergrad right now, and probably $50-100k in debt. Instead, I have no student debt and have completed my degree and been able to enter the professional workforce years earlier than my peers. WGU definitely isn't for everyone; if you struggle to motivate yourself when you don't have any deadlines, this probably isn't the school for you. But if you're like me, and you're painfully aware of the cost of college coming directly from your pocket, as well as the opportunity cost introduced by the many trials and tribulations of adulthood, WGU may just be the perfect fit. (Should also note that WGU is all virtual. I still gave the social scene a 4 star rating, because while it doesn't offer many of the same social environments as a traditional brick and mortar school, there's a great community of Night Owls active on Facebook and Reddit and various groups, which have both been a huge help to me in staying connected). " I worked towards my Bachelors of Science in Cybersecurity and it only took 1.5 years of sacrificing my social life, and $5000 in tuition fees. Small price to pay for a Bachelors and about 6-8 IT specific certifications. Best decision I ever made, I highly recommend WGU to everyone I know. And no, it's not a degree mill, it's a new age of college education. "

" Amazing school!! I started this degree in 2019 and finished in 2021. This school is incredible. Doing as many classes as I want in a 6 month time span has given me the ability to go as fast or as slow as I want, and take breaks when I need them. The certifications they give you are invaluable and will look incredible on your resume. I wish I enrolled when they started including CySA+ and Pentest+ in my curriculum "
