 " Good School. I recommend it. Dining facilities are not good at all. First years all live on grounds which is nice for social interactions. Most teachers are primarily researchers, so they do not care that much about teaching. "

 " Good school with great academics and professors. Really fun to attend sporting events (mostly basketball and football). Also have beautiful mountains around if you like to hike! Only negative (for me) was the large Greek life presence, because I'm not really into that scene. "

 " UVa is a smaller public university, so it combines the benefits of a large research university and (relatively) smaller, more intimate classes. The town is a typical college town with DC being about a 2-hour drive. The vast majority of students are from within the state, so it may be difficult to find new friends if you are coming from out of state. "

 " Faculty and staff are amazing at their craft. I do not think I have interacted with a professor who did not truly want to help the student and try to contribute to their growth as a student and person. The smaller class sizes from our sister-school UVA are definitely a plus. I feel like an actually can foster a relationship with my professors and classmates, rather than just being a number in a classroom. "

 " Overall, UVA is a good school. Parking could definitely be improved, but otherwise, there's a lot to get involved in. Like many schools, there's a big frat and sorority scene, but if that's not your thing, there are plenty of great professors and clubs if you take the time to find them. Big shoutout to the Outdoors Club, highly recommend checking it out! "
