" Speaking as a grad student it's a great school. Professors are very supportive towards helping student in their goals. But it is a little bit more expensive than many of the other public schools in the area since it's a private institution. "

" The dorm experience and the smaller campus was my favorite part of attending SPU. I made a lot of life-long friends during my time there, including my future husband (and no, this wasn't a ring-by-spring situation). Would I recommend the school now? No. They have a lot of social problems and are really falling behind on the times. The facilities were top-notch, but in the last few years, there have been many more instances of homophobia and racism. "

" Seattle Pacific is a great college for very specific kinds of people. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with the small class sizes, great professors and staff. The professors teach and grade their classes, and they make an effort to get to know you well. The school of Business has incredible connections across the Seattle work environment. The social scene is a grab bag. I am fortunate to have made good friends early on, but only 1 or 2 of them really share or respect my background or major interests. If youre into the whole punk and metal culture, people will look at you like youre a serial killer. The dating scene is wack, all the guys don’t have a lick of respect for anyone, and the majority of girls are really shallow. I’ve had a couple of LGBTQIA+ friends, and they’ve said their experience has been a nightmare. Overall though, the people are mostly kind. Facilities are like ok. Upper administration (president, board, anyone in upper Demaray Hall) don’t care about the students or anything the students want, and are so disconnected from the world. The “engage the culture change the world” statement is a bunch of crap. They have no political standing and are too afraid to call themselves liberal or conservative. The apathy is fine at first, but at the end of your 4 years, you will be tire of seeing the same “we dont take a stance on this” crap. "

" I really love the small class sizes; you can tell your professor cares about your success. SPU does not offer that many interesting classes though. Only offers 3 foreign languages, which is disappointing compared to other schools in the area and the Theology is a pain. Overall, it's great. "

" The campus is beautiful and courses in the English department were academically rigorous. I was challenged and graduated a better person. I also took an art minor, and unexpectedly ended up continuing on to graduate school elsewhere for my MFA and became a professional artist. Even though their art department is very small and their facilities are small, some of their professors were wonderful, especially in metals, drawing, and painting. "
