" I'm not happy with the online program for working adults, particularly the IDS program. There are far too many group projects that span the entire course, which has made it difficult to build a meaningful portfolio or clearly demonstrate my individual skills. I don't feel like I'm learning much that's actually helpful for a career switch.
Support services at NU have also been disappointing. They seem to lack understanding of conditions like ASD and CPTSD, and overall student competency in the program has been lower than expected. Some instructors are great, but others are not, and at least one was extremely difficult to work with.
Maybe the on-campus experience is better, but I'd advise others to carefully consider whether the online IDS program is the right fit, especially if you're looking to develop individual skills or career-ready work. "

" I have enjoyed my time at Northwest University. The PsyD program is APA accredited and the faculty know and care about each student. It is a religious school, which can be limiting in terms of research but PsyD students are less likely to be looking for research-related jobs so the limitations only impact research assignments needed to graduate. "

" Northwest University resides next to Seattle, one of the greatest cities in the nation. It is walking distance to a beautiful lake, the homes are stunning, and the overall area is gorgeous! As a student, you will feel poor compared to your surrounding neighbors, but the overall experience is quality. "

" Great christian school. Highly recommend it. The college has a great reputation for quality graduates. The classes are smaller than large universities so there are lots of one on one learning which is an awesome benefit. The professors care about their students and want them to succeed. The community life is also very welcoming and kind. "

" Great small university just outside of Seattle. The psychology program was recently APA accredited and the faculty are outstanding. They have been upgrading the facilities, including having some pretty fancy new chairs for students. "
