" Fairmont State is a great place to get one on one time with doctorate-level professors. The classes are small and have many discussions. Beware the cafeteria, the food options are mediocre and mostly deep-fried or pasta, although there are falcon crest apartments within walking distance. "

" i do recommend fairmont state, but some improvements could be made. the small campus size is really nice because professors gets to know you and remember you. you don’t just feel like a number. everything can be walked to in 5-10 minutes at most. "

" The entirety of the campus is built around the city of Fairmont in West Virginia-- while the city itself may not be 100% savory, the campus is isolated enough so that the students can feel safe. The campus itself is built on large, compounding hills-- expect to be walking up and down a lot of stairs!
The main building that many students will be going to during their semesters here at Fairmont will be the Falcon Center, which is an all-in-one study center, athletic gym, cafeteria, and campus store. Should the FC be too crowded for study, however, you can easily walk to the campus library which has two full floors for study with computer labs available.
Overall, the connectivity with staff, professors, and students goes very well, and many social clubs host events semester-round. Occasionally the university itself will host events or will fund academic or socially based programs to send students to the movies, hiking trips, theatrical performances or other academic and recreational activities.
