" Marshall is an absolutely wonderful school and I would recommend it to anyone. I am in my second year and have yet to run into a staff member that did not truly care about the students. As an in state student, it is also very affordable for me to attend here. I also commute, so I miss out on certain aspects of the social scene. However, I do know there are plenty of clubs or groups to join; there is something for everyone. The main campus is also easy to learn to navigate and is free of litter. "

" Small university with a big university feeling. Enjoyed my time here and made lifelong friends. Marshall had went through many new upgrades while I was a student such as the creation of Drinko Library that was open 24/7 for student research. The athletic teams are always an enjoyable time as well. The only issue is the City of Huntington is not safe once you are off campus at times due to drug related crimes. Marshall University however is regularly patrolled on foot with Marshall’s Police Force and they have emergency stations every 1000 feet or so including parking garages. If ever in need you can press the button and a law enforcement officer will assist you with whatever need you may have, including just walking you to you car so that you feel safe. "
