" I wouldn't recommend UW-Parkside, but I don't think it's a bad school. If you're looking for a diverse campus with a thriving social scene, this is not the school for you. It is located in Kenosha, so there is not much to do in the surrounding areas. The school is pretty small for a university, with class sizes around 30 students. "

" The campus is beautiful, class sizes are small, professors are approachable, and various student support services are both very accessible and very helpful. Shoutout to Student Accessibility Services (SAS) for literally everything. Highly recommend for so many reasons, but *especially* if you are interested in psychology. "

" This university has been a fantastic fit for me. The classes are small which means you can get to know your professors in a one on one basis if you so choose. The buildings are well kept and the classrooms use their space effectively. The resources they offer are excellent as well. They offer everything from personalized tutoring to disability, women's, and LGBTQ+ resources. They even were ready to accommodate my special dietary needs with a full selection of food, not just an offering here or there.
I've been genuinely shocked by the amount of diversity I've encountered since I began attending. They have an expansive international program with students from Italy and Somalia all the way to India and Brazil attending this university. All the different ethnic clubs on top of that make this a fantastic place for students from all walks of life and from any country on the planet.
The price is also incredibly affordable. Personally, I receive in state tuition, which will always be cheaper, but the large amount of students from northern Illinois and the Chicago-land area are a testament to the universities unwavering commitment to providing education for any income level.
All in all, this is a fantastic university to attend and I would recommend it to anyone looking for higher education that is both personal and affordable. "
