" This review is focused on the Commerce course. It was a three year programme. It focused on a wide range of subjects in first year from Economics, Accounting, Management and Business Information Systems. From second year, you can pick some subjects along with some core subjects. In final year, you pick your area that most interests you, I picked the area of Economics. I found the subjects thought were very varied and gave a good scope on the economics world. There is one core subject in final year, called Innovation Creative and Enterprise (ICE) This module was very interesting, and showed us an insight into how one would start a new business venture. We had to present and try and sell our product or service to a group of outside people from the business world. The major issue with commerce in first year is the class size. There can be up to 300 people for some core subjects but once second and third year start the class sizes get considerably smaller so it can be easier to learn. The weekly hours were usually short (if worse came to worse one could do a part time job) Like in any course there always can be good and bad lectures, some lectures can be boring and some can give a great interesting lecture. Even after specializing in final year, I found that I did not have enough information learned to join the working world, I needed a more specialized masters. However, I believe there is still plenty of opportunities for student with just a undergrad to start work. Like I said above Commerce in first year has over 300 people so this was a great opportunity to meet new people from a range of different places around the country. Yes over all the course was what I expected and would recommend it to LC student who have an interest in business or finance. "
