" Great urban setting but expect the weather to be cold for most the semesters. Classes are rigorous but many students aren't as dedicated as you would find in schools that have tougher admissions. School & neighborhood security/police can do a better job of patrolling areas in which students walk to/from cars/home. In addition, they could set up cameras especially in the parking garages. All in all, education is a great value (esp. for in-state) and you can explore the great city of Chicago. "
