" This is a commuter school, so there’s not a lot of socializing that goes on apart from clubs and residence. Frat parties are fun but they don’t have a big presence on campus and are exclusive. Schoolwise, the classes are very good however they are very dependent on who you get as a professor. Different professors can make a hard class easy and an easy class hard, especially if there’s a language barrier (i.e. a thick accent). I’ve had some phenomenal professors, and some bad ones, but to their credit all the professors I’ve had have been exceptionally nice. If you go here the teaching is good depending on the prof (use ratemyprofessors.com) and while it isn’t your typical college experience because it’s a commuter school you can have a fun time meeting new people in one of the 300+ clubs we have. This university is perfect for anyone already living in Calgary since you can cut costs while still getting a great education from one of Canada’s finest schools. It’s also a great option for international students because it is cheaper than the mega-universities like UToronto or UBC and still gives you a quality education. A great school overall. "
