" I was between another university and UCI but I ultimately decided to go with UCI because when I visited, it just felt more friendly. The entire campus felt like a park and the entire place is a giant circle so you're never too far from anyone (or your classes - I never had to get a bike or even run to any classes!) The professors in my area of study were phenomenal. They were great at teaching the subject and giving fair assessments. I rarely felt like I was too overworked or overloaded with homework/assignments. I do wish parking was better. Parking passes are pretty expensive and you're not guaranteed a spot either. The cost of living here can get pricey too (it is a wealthier area, after all.) The apartments nearby have pretty high rent but students (like myself) without a car, almost have no choice but to live there and pay extra. "
