 " This school gets a lot of flack for its social scene which I think is misplaced. Granted it is very academic focused, and your school work might leave little room to socialize, it is still possible with great time management and putting yourself out there by joining clubs and societies. Of course, this is all in hindsight as I had terrible time management, but still socialized a lot and was a member of a few clubs, and my grades reflect that. All in all, to fully enjoy this university, you need to master your time, seek out social opportunities, and stay on top of your academics. I would recommend UW 100%. "

 " Though UW is an engineering and science-focused school, I found that their humanities were still quite good. I found my classes enjoyable and made many friends while in attendance at UW, in my program and in others. I really liked my department (Department of Latin American Studies) and the courses it offered and would gladly recommend it to new students. "

 " Very strong co-op program, so a lot of opportunities to gain real-world work experience before graduation, leading to better chances of landing a full-time job. Students are also extremely capable and motivated, so you can learn a lot from the people you meet in the school. "

 " Overall a good school although the Stratford campus can seem isolating to the rest of the school. The stratford campus is only for GBDA undergrads and MDEI masters students. Both very small programs so not many people attending the campus. Very nice building though and they do not allow Stratford students to use the main campus waterloo facilities like gyms. "

 " It is a good school but definitely needs work when it comes to supporting mental health.  I am lucky with most of my profs being very accommodative but in general UW is terrible for mental health. 

It's coop is good too (except PD).  For Coop i found a job very easy without much hassle compared to my friends in other universities.  

The sciences are very hard for those not prepared enough.  The physics courses here specifically are crazy. "
