" Obviously, experiences vary and subject to course, individual and lecturers but I would place a "buyer beware" re sports courses at UCLAN. We were shocked by the timetable, very little face to face teaching, no more than 5 hours a week. Much self study, online etc. justified as a result of post COVID.
Didn't seem well organised with very little support, most lecturers very young with no real world experience .. often complaining about how busy and how little time they have ... whilst being hard to contact and talking (in some cases) their other various paid jobs up.
Term ran from Sept to April with full holiday half term so with only 1 to 2 days at best on campus that about 50 days out of 365. This leaves a lot of time which if you're happy doing home/self study I guess might work but didn't for us.
Obviously cannot compare with other courses, many students including my son ended up dropping out, if you stay the course ( pardon the pun ) it would seem you are pretty much guaranteed a degree as that's the way it seems to work, those who then get a degree give good feedback and the course justifies its existence, the circle continues. For us it was too much of a strain mentally with little support to do this.
As above not sure if its reflective of everyone's experience I'm sure it’s probably not but I'd look at all options and ask some questions before looking at this option. "

" The University of Central Lancashire offers solid academics and facilities for Postgraduate students. However, the administrative support and social scene could improve for a better experience. "

" Parking tends to be off-site/local but used by students. Can typically find a place.
Forensic Psychology masters course is taught well. Some very good lecturers make the lectures interesting and give good knowledge about topics. Some redd off slides so less good but only happens every so often. "

" I would recommend this university. Excellent university for learning, studying and socialising with other people. Interesting courses and great tutors who are kind, patient and help with any issues. The staff at this university do their very best to ensure that students get the best grades they can and there is also advice and guidance on how to find jobs once students have graduated. "

" Lots of support for students. Very interesting lectures and covers a variety of topics. Assignments felt very relevant to what the job may entail in the future. Found the lectures to be very interactive and lecturers made great efforts to get students involved, as opposed to just reading from slides. "
