" Overall a good school, my training has been phenomenal. Professors are kind and truly care about their students, plus they have been pretty flexible with COVID related transitions. However, it is a more conservative religious school so at times it is lacking diversity and could do more to address privilege. "

" It IS challenging getting the (required) Bible minor alongside nursing school, especially since the Bible Department is not helpful at all with helping nursing students schedule their classes. The nursing program itself is really difficult (BSN) as expected of any nursing program. Don’t expect to learn a single medication (pharmacology is online = no one actually learns). You take community health in your last semester meaning that you will not have useful clinical experience for the last 6 months of your schooling. You are required to uphold college standards (no drinking, no going into opposite sex dorms on certain days, etc.) which comes with any religious school. Some of the nursing staff is amazing and super helpful, while others are terrifying and extremely hard on students. “Tell them what they want to hear” is my motto. Overall, going into nursing school, prepare to miss out on your college experience. I wish I had chosen a normal major so I could enjoy the beautiful campus, make friends, and enjoy more highlights of Biola’s campus. "
