" University of Louisville is run by Greek life and a corrupt President. It almost lost its academic standing. Some of the teachers are great, and the Liberal Studies program was really cool, but overall, it's way overpriced for what it is. "

" the environment is really good! The international student office should be improved, but they are really kind and they will help you with any kind of problems! The academic staff is amazing! The campus is really nice, with lot of services. The city is not bad, if you like bourbon and horse racing is the best place where to live! Go cards! "

" I have enjoyed my time at UofL immensely, though I cannot speak to some areas (such as food options, I always brought lunch from home!). The campus is pretty and centrally located, and there are tons of options for houses/apartments really close to campus (I live two blocks away). However, many of the students also grew up in the Kentuckiana area, so it was more difficult to find a social group. "

" UofL is a great school. Fairly affordable, great city, high quality faculty. The campus is beautiful and facilities are pretty good. Parking is a huge issue though if you don't live on campus. It's ridiculous that you have to pay for a parking pass for a lot which you still have to take a shuttle to the main campus. Might as well just take the bus to school. Also, the parking situation for the medical campus downtown is even worse - parking passes cost $400. Overall though I deal with it by not buying passes & parking on streets where it's free. I usually still walk 10-15 minutes but it's worth it to me to not have to pay. I love the city and have never felt unsafe, but I also would never walk around by myself on campus after dark. "

" I have had a good experience overall at the University of Louisville. I have enjoyed my area of study and had some really good professors. The campus is nice and has been undergoing renovations to add new classrooms/labs and clean up old buildings. While I generally like the campus I would have to complain about parking. When undergraduate students buy a parking pass it only allows them to park at Cardinal Stadium. This leaves me with the options of a 15 minute walk to my first class or to wait for the busses that drive around campus which I've been told are unreliable. I have ended up trying to pay to park on one of the small "pay by plate" lots on campus or in the main garage. This tends to be difficult as a lot of students try to use these small parking lots and the garage only has 2 floors available for visitors and students and is often full. When I first started at the University there was a bigger parking lot for undergraduate students that was a little closer (though still a walk) but it was torn down to build a new stadium. This is a major complaint for students and something that new students should be aware of before attending. "
