" It is a great University with a great atmosphere to learn. It is the best facility, particularly for those supposed to continue their education there. The staff at Ashland faculty and registers are all working toward the student's success. The accessibility is extraordinary "

" Ashland University is a private, mid-sized university but has a lot to offer. I just completed my first year at this university, and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. At first glance, the price seems a little hard to swallow. However, Ashland offers many scholarships that bring the price down to the cost of a normal, public university. I checked "No" for weekly living expenses because first of all, students pay tuition and room and board by semester, and secondly, the cost of residency is higher than it should be. There are opportunities to bring this cost down, i.e. through the RA position where room is paid for and scholarships, but it is somewhat high. This position is available to second year students and above, but the process is competitive. I also checked "No" for computer labs because I recently heard the university is getting rid of a computer lab and converting it into a classroom. There are lots of computers in the Student Center and library, but the one that they are removing was the best. The food is awesome at Ashland. It's earned numerous awards and is #1 in Ohio for campus food. This was definitely something I considered before enrolling. The professors and staff truly care about the student. "Accent on the Individual," is a motto that they uphold. Ashland is somewhat rural, and although the town is cute, many shops close at 5pm. It is, however, located an hour away from both Cleveland and Columbus, two out of three of Ohio's biggest cities. Also, CAB or Campus Activities Board, holds countless events throughout the year for students during the week but especially during the weekend.
