Trinity College DublinInternational student from America and really enjoyed my time at Trinity. Great society scene and plenty of international students. Academic staff is a bit of a mixed bag, but usually I found most professors and TAs were pretty good, although you'll get a real poor professor at least once or twice within your time here. Easy to make friends with international students and Irish students from the country. Generally everyone is sound, but it can be a bit harder to socialize with Dublin kids since most stick to their social circles from secondary school. Also Trinity's reputation for being posh is no lie, the poshness can at times be endearing and at other times the austerity will annoy you to bits. However, the social scene is great and real easy to find events, can find anything from debates on Central Asian foreign policy to real scummy nights out in rundown techno clubs. The admin staff is notoriously slow and understaffed, so be prepared to have a bit of a headache if you want anything from them. Overall, got to say I enjoyed my time here and would recommend to anyone who is looking for an urban campus with a large variety of clubs, societies and social events.
